Wanted Concord, but they are backordered till November. Customer referred me to these for my Ovation. Received them in two days with free shipping. Good battery and fast shipping!!

Battery was a replacement for the previous Gill. The amazing part was how rapid Pilotshop got it to me. 3 days.

Old one lasted about 4.5 years. Used in my R182 where it is located in the hot engine compartment which may affect life. Vowed I would get a Concorde when the Gill died, but supply chain issues prevented that (Concordes are months out). Well see how it goes this time around.

I am a little disappointed that the last two batteries that we bought only lasted 17 months. The batteries were on BatteryMinders. It would be nice to get several years for $800 dollars per battery.

The battery that this is replacing I bought from aircraft Spruce approximately 10 years ago I’d say that’s a pretty good life cycle great product

I used to use Gill batteries exclusively before sealed batts for airplanes came along but got tired of them lasting only 2-3 years so switched to Concorde but they seem not much better. Hopefully this new style Gill will prove to be an improvement which it should for its insanely high price!. There are new designs of batts out there now which are much cheaper and last much longer but their STCs dont seem to cover the more common types of airplanes. Hopefully that will change soon!

The listing said the battery would fit C172N. It was too tall for my O-320-H2AD. I do not know of any modifications to the battery box. Went with a Concorde that was smaller. I should have measured first.

Battery arrived in good condition and charged. Was able to double check the charge and installed in the Aircraft.I did double check with Gill about the battery charger that I was using which is one of their units and was able to use it on this sealed unit as well. Just an FYI in the last 20 years I have used two Gill batteries. One lasted 11 years, because of charging techniques, the other lasted 8 years, very pleased with the product.

The third Gill battery that went dead cell in a year, just at or after warranty. Are others having Gill batteries die early? No more Gill. Plus, this battery was three months on backorder.

The previous battery died at 11 months. Hope this one is better or will switch brands. So far not impressive with the extreme cost of these batteries.
